PPT Extends and Complements Group Buying and Other Shopping Programs:
PPT is designed not to replace, but to complement and extend other ad programs such as group purchase (i.e. Groupon.com). These programs which promote volume purchases by offering a very deep (>50%) discount on a featured Ad of the Day are unsustainable by most businesses. PPT can be offered in conjunction with these Group programs to provide a sustainable and consistent engagement across a larger number of local merchants. This effectively lowers the acquisition cost of each advertiser. And the breadth of local merchant engagement delivers greater choice and relevance to customers that may not be interested in todays group purchase deal of the day. Driving Subscriptions Online and Offline: As the traditional offline (print) consumers move online, there is a stubborn resistance to paying subscription fees. In turn, the attrition of paid subscribers continues to have a severe impact on revenue and profitability.
